Music Video: Mika - "Boum boum boum"

Mika, che sin dagli esordi ha dato prova di grande capacità artistica, ha lanciato sul mercato un nuovo singolo, "Boum Boum Boum", che probabilmente sarà inserito nel nuovo lavoro discografico per il quale è attualmente in studio. 

Interamente in francese, si tratta di una canzoncina piacevole da ascoltare, ma che non sarà ricordata tra le hit di Mika, nè tra i suoi singoli migliori. Il testo è molto frivolo e musicalmente non spicca per originalità (sembra quasi lo stacchetto di "Veline"...).

Da un artista con la sua voce, la sua creatività e quella verve, ci si aspetta molto (ma molto!) di più. Probabilmente per farsi perdonare, però, il cantante libanese è protagonista di un video originale e ben fatto, in cui interpreta il ruolo di un play boy di altri tempi.

Mika, who since his beginning has shown great artistic ability, has released a new single, "Boum Boum Boum", which probably will be included in his new album for which currently is working. 

"Boum boum boum", entirely in French, is a nice song, but that won't remembered as one of the singer hits, or as one of his best singles. 

The lyric is very frivolous and musically the song isn't so original. From an artist with his voice, his creativity and verve, the public expects from him more (but a lot!). However, the Lebanese singer is starring in an original and well done music video, in which he plays the role of a playboy of the past.

Album: Alizée - "Blonde"

Alizèe ci riprova. Da pochi giorni è uscito sul mercato francese (e in digitale in molti altri Paesi, Italia inclusa) "Blonde", sesto album studio.

Per l'occasione, la cantante di Ajaccio ha cambiato totalmente look, adottando un biondo che mal si addice con il suo incarnato, ma che certamente non passa inosservato. 

L'album è fresco ed accattivante, ricco di pezzi elletro-pop dai ritornelli decisamente chatchy. 

Dopo aver vinto l'edizione francese di "Ballando con le stelle", questo comeback sulla scena musicale rappresenta per Alizée un po' un banco di prova: dopo tre album poco venduti alle spalle... o la va o la spacca! Per l'occasione, la cantante ha puntato tutto sul pop, rinunciando alle sonorità più ricercate con cui aveva cercato di conquistare pubblico e critica (soprattutto con "Psychedelices" - 2007 - e "Une enfante du Siècle" - 2010 -).

"Alcaline", secondo singolo estratto, è molto radiofonico e ricorda un po' lo stile Farmer-Boutonnat degli esordi. Da segnalare, inoltre, per il testo, "Bi", brano contro i pregiudizi e gli stereotipi sulle relazioni same-sex ("E' sempre amore.."), mentre per le sonorità più "azzeccate" sono potenziali singoli "Charles est stone", "Ce qui tue l'amour", "K.-O" e "Mylène Farmer". Quest'ultima canzone, che porta il nome della celebre artista francese che ha scoperto e lanciato Alizée in giovane età, è un "tributo" indiretto. Racconta, infatti, la storia di una ragazza fidanzata con un fan della "Madonna francese", di cui è ossessionato. 

Alizée is again on the scene. A few days ago "Blonde", her sixth studio album, was released on the French market (and also in digital version in many other countries, including Italy).

For the occasion, the singer of Ajaccio has totally changed her look, adopting a blonde not in line to her complexion, but that certainly don't go unnoticed.

The album is fresh and captivating, full of  electro pop chatchy songs.

After winning the French edition of "Dancing with the Stars", the comeback on the music scene for Alizée is a bit a test after three albums sold a little behind! 

For the occasion, the singer has staked everything on the pop, giving up the more elaborate sounds with which she had tried to conquer public and critics (especially with "Psychedelices" - 2007 - and "Une enfant du Siècle" - 2010 -).

"Alcaline", the second single, is very radio and reminds the Farmer-Boutonnat style. Intresting songs are, for the lyric, "Bi", against prejudices and stereotypes about same-sex relationships ("It's always love .."), while as potential singles we have "Charles Est stone","Ce qui tue l'amour","K-O" and "Mylène Farmer". 

The last song, which has the name of the famous French artist who discovered Alizée, is an indirect "tribute". Alizée tells, in fact, the story of a girl engaged to an obsessed fan of the "French Madonna".

Alizée è tornata! In realtà non se n'è mai andata.. o meglio, non ha mai smesso di cantare, anche se in Italia non è stata più pubblicizzata dai tempi del suo secondo album.

"Blonde" è il nome del nuovo singolo; una canzone fresca e spensierata, senza troppe pretese, che di certo non sarà ricordata per la profondità dei suoi contenuti, ma che potrebbe rallegrare la giornata di qualcuno per qualche minuto.

Guardando il video sembra quasi che il tempo per la cantante francese si sia fermato: appare sempre giovanissima e con la stessa voglia di fare degli esordi.

Un augurio ed una preghiera: che questo brano super pop possa rappresentare per lei un nuovo inizio per tornare ad essere apprezzata dal grande pubblico... ma che si sbarazzi al più presto di questo biondo. Mora è tutta un'altra storia!

Alizée is back! She never stopped singing, even if in Italy she has not been more publicized since her second album. 

"Blonde" is the name of her new single; it's a fresh and unpretentious song. 

For sure you won't remember it for its serious contents, but probably it could give you some carefree minute.

Looking at the music video the impression is that the time, for the French singer, stopped. She still seems very young and always with the same spirit of her debut. 

We have a wish and a prayer for Alizée: we hope that this super pop song could represent a new beginning for her to be appreciated again by the general public... but as soon as possible she has to stop with the blonde hair. Brown hair have definitely another effect!
