New Single: Syria - "Odiare"

E' uscito ieri su iTunes "Odiare", il nuovo singolo di Syria.

Il pezzo dalle atmosfere dance, ma con un testo decisamente malinconico, è stato scritto da Max Pezzali insieme a Fortunato Zampaglione e Francesco de Benedittis.

Nel  giorno della sua uscita il singolo ha raggiunto la quinta posizione tra le canzoni più vendute di Itunes, anche grazie ad una massiccia campagna pubblicitaria che sta avendo luogo sui social network in queste ore condotta da alcuni artisti molto amici della cantante romana: Marina Rei, Laura Pausini, Francesco Sarcina, La Pina, Peppi Nocera sono soltanto alcuni dei colleghi-amici che hanno promosso l'uscita della canzone attraverso video simpatici ed originali. 

I video sono visionabili sulla pagina Istagram ufficiale dell'artista.

"Odiare", the new Syria's single, was released yesterday on iTunes.

The dance song has a decidedly melancholy lyric. It was written by Max Pezzali with Fortunato Zampaglione and Francesco de Benedictis. 

During the day of its release, the single has reached the fifth position in iTunes, also thanks to a massive advertising campaign on social networks done by a lot of friends of the singer: Marina Rei, Laura Pausini, Francesco Sarcina, La Pina, Peppi Nocera are only some of the colleagues and friends who have sponsored the release of the song through funny and original videos. The videos can be viewed on the Syria Istagram page.

Music Video: Alizée - "Blonde"

Alizée è tornata! In realtà non se n'è mai andata.. o meglio, non ha mai smesso di cantare, anche se in Italia non è stata più pubblicizzata dai tempi del suo secondo album.

"Blonde" è il nome del nuovo singolo; una canzone fresca e spensierata, senza troppe pretese, che di certo non sarà ricordata per la profondità dei suoi contenuti, ma che potrebbe rallegrare la giornata di qualcuno per qualche minuto.

Guardando il video sembra quasi che il tempo per la cantante francese si sia fermato: appare sempre giovanissima e con la stessa voglia di fare degli esordi.

Un augurio ed una preghiera: che questo brano super pop possa rappresentare per lei un nuovo inizio per tornare ad essere apprezzata dal grande pubblico... ma che si sbarazzi al più presto di questo biondo. Mora è tutta un'altra storia!

Alizée is back! She never stopped singing, even if in Italy she has not been more publicized since her second album. 

"Blonde" is the name of her new single; it's a fresh and unpretentious song. 

For sure you won't remember it for its serious contents, but probably it could give you some carefree minute.

Looking at the music video the impression is that the time, for the French singer, stopped. She still seems very young and always with the same spirit of her debut. 

We have a wish and a prayer for Alizée: we hope that this super pop song could represent a new beginning for her to be appreciated again by the general public... but as soon as possible she has to stop with the blonde hair. Brown hair have definitely another effect!

Album: Cris Cab - "Where I Belong"

"Liar liar... she is on fire..." Chi nelle ultime settimane non ha sentito o canticchiato questo motivetto? "Liar liar" è una delle canzoni contenute in "Where I Belong", album di recente uscita di Cris Cab. 

Ma chi è Cris Cab? Attivo sulla scena musicale già dal 2011, il cantante americano è saltato alla ribalta grazie a Pharrell Williams che lo ha prodotto.

Viso da bravo ragazzo, voce limpida e motivetti orecchiabili. Basteranno questi elementi per affermare Cris Cab nel mondo dello showbusiness musicale? Per il momento la canzone è candidata a diventare una vera e propria hit per l'estate.

L'album è certamente promosso: il sound fresco ed accattivante a metà strada tra il Reggae ed Soul lo rende piacevole sin dal primo ascolto.

Who is Cris Cab? Active on the music scene since 2011, the American singer became famous thanks to Pharrell Williams, who produced it. 

He really seems a good boy, with a clear voice and catchy songs. These elements will be sufficient to have a star? 

By the time his song is a candidate to become a real hit for this summer. 

The album is good and nice since the first listening thanks to a fresh sound between Reggae and Soul.

Unreleased: Beyoncé - "Standing on The Sun"

Sta circolando in queste ore su Internet una versione di "Standing on The Sun" che sembrerebbe essere quella definitiva.

La canzone, cantata da Beyoncé e scritta in collaborazione con Sia (che canta anche nei cori) e Greg Kurstin, è stato utilizzata come colonna sonora della campagna pubblicitaria dello scorso anno di "H&M".

Il brano non è mai stato rilasciato ufficialmente ed è stato cantato una sola volta da Beyoncé durante una delle tappe del "Mrs. Carter Tour" che si è da poco concluso.

Resta ancora un mistero il motivo per il quale il pezzo non sia stato inserito nell'ultimo album della cantante statunitense. Buon ascolto a tutti! 

A probably final version of "Standing on The Sun" is finally on line.

The song, sung by Beyoncé and co-written by Sia (who also sings in the chorus) and Greg Kurstin, was used as the theme song of the "H&M" last year campaign.

 The song was never officially released and has been sung by Beyoncé only once during one of the stages of the "Mrs. Carter Tour" which has just ended.

The reason why the song has not been added to the last album of the singer remains a mystery.

Music Video: Dear Jack - "Domani è un altro film"

Oltre centomila visualizzazioni in pochi giorni: un bel record per "Domani è un altro film", il primo videoclip musicale dei Dear Jack.

Per chi non la conoscesse, si tratta di una boy band nata all'interno del programma televisivo "Amici di Maria de Filippi", che proprio da quest'anno ha introdotto questa nuova categoria.

I Dear Jack forti della popolarità acquisita hanno già rilasciato il primo singolo su Itunes, di cui potete vedere di seguito il videoclip. La canzone, pop-rock, soprattutto nel ritornello, è molto orecchiabile.

Per quanto riguarda il programma, c'è da dire che rispetto alle passate edizioni "Amici" ha perso parecchi punti: dallo scorso anno non va più in onda in diretta, e questa è la causa di molti spoiler che circolano su Internet, e l'eliminazione dei concorrenti dipende esclusivamente dai giudizi della commissione. Togliendo il televoto, quindi, viene a mancare una delle caratteristiche fondamentali del format: il giudizio del pubblico.

Inoltre, i continui battibecchi tra i coatch delle due squadre (Moreno e Miguel Bosé) sembrano davvero artefatti e poco spontanei.

Ad ogni modo, c'è da ammettere che, in Italia, "Amici di Maria de Filippi" resta uno dei pochi "talent" che (nonostante sia una grande macchina di illusioni) favorisce ancora l'incontro tra artisti emergenti e case discografiche.. e questo non è poco.

More than one hundred thousand views within a few days, a big record for "Domani è un altro giorno", the first music video of Dear Jack, a boy band originated within the italian tv show "Amici di Maria de Filippi"; this is the first year in the story of the show that this new category  has been introduced.

Dear Jack, taking advantage of the gained popularity, they have yet released their first single on iTunes. Their pop-rock song, especially the chorus, is very catchy.

About the show, we have to say that, compared to previous editions, "Amici di Maria de Filippi" has lost appeal: since last year the show is not live (but recorded), and this is the cause of many spoilers circulating on the web, and the elimination of competitors depends only on the judgments of the Judges in studio. 

Without the possibility to vote for the public, the opinion of viewers is not considered. 

In addition, the constant bickering between the two teams coatch (Moreno and Miguel Bosé) seem really artifacts and not spontaneous.

Either way, we have to admit that, in Italy, "Amici di Maria de Filippi" remains one of the few "talent" that still favors the meeting between artists and record labels... even if, in many cases, it is also a "machine of illusions"

E' stato da poco pubblicato sul canale Vevo di Katy Perry il video del quarto singolo estratto dall'album "Prism": "Birthday".

Nel video la cantante veste i panni di 5 personaggi irriverenti che combinano una serie di guai in altrettante feste di compleanno.

L'intento, evidentemente, era fare qualcosa di simpatico ed inaspettato.

Il risultato? Un video un po' troppo forzato, che vuole far ridere a tutti i costi, ma che non riesce a strappare più di qualche sorriso.

Inoltre.. perchè solo la principessa rivela la sua vera identità?

The music video of "Birthday", the fourth single from the Katy Perry's album "Prism",  has recently been published on the official Katy Perry's Vevo channel.

In the music video the singer plays the role of 5 irreverent characters that combine a number of troubles in five different birthday parties. Obviously, the intent was to create something fun and unexpected. 

The result? A video a bit too forced, that wants to make you laugh at all costs, but that only causes a few smiles. 

But the question is... why does only the princess reveal her real identity?

Album: Enrique Iglesias - "SEX AND LOVE"

Dopo aver rilasciato una sfilza di singoli durante tutto il 2013 e parte del 2014, Enrique Iglesias ha finalmente fatto uscire sul mercato lo scorso 14 marzo il suo nuovo album: "SEX AND LOVE" 

Si tratta di un lavoro fresco, ritmato, in cui il filo conduttore è l'amore, raccontato in tutte le sue sfaccettature: dal corteggiamento, alla passione, dal tradimento al dolore per la fine di una storia. 

Enrique canta in inglese e in spagnolo, da solo e in collaborazione con diversi artisti (da Jennifer Lopez a Pitbull, da Kylie Minogue a Flo Rida).

Le canzoni appartengono a stili diversi: ci sono quelle più dance, quelle più pacate, fino ad alcune dal cosiddetto sapore latino. 

Un album eterogeneo, promosso a pieni voti.

After the releasing of several singles during last year, Enrique Iglesias has finally released on March 14th his new album: "SEX AND LOVE".

It's a very intresting and rhythmic work, in which the main theme is the love in all its facets: courtship, passion, until the pain for the end of a lovestory. 

Enrique sings in English and Spanish, alone and in collaboration with several artists (Jennifer Lopez, Pitbull, Flo Rida, Kylie Minogue...). 

The songs have all different styles: there are dance ones, romantic ones, until Latin ones. 

It's an heterogeneous album, passed with flying colors.

Come inaugurare al meglio un blog dedicato alla musica pop?

Ovviamente, celebrando l'uscita del nuovo video musicale di una delle regine della musica pop: Beyoncè! 

E' da poche ore on line sul suo canale Vevo ufficiale il video di "Pretty Hurts", nuovo singolo dell'album "Beyoncè".

La canzone è sicuramente la più bella e convincente dell'intero cd;  è stata scritta dalla cantante australiana Sia, ormai Re Mida della musica pop. 

Il video, diretto da Melina Matsoukas, racconta le pene di una giovane aspirante Miss... 

Il risultato è decisamente convincente!

How to inaugurate a blog devoted to pop music? 

Celebrating the release of the new music video of one of the queens of pop music: Beyoncè, of course! 

The video of "Pretty Hurts", her new single from the album "Beyonce", is avaiable on her official Vevo channel. 

The song is certainly the most beautiful and convincing of the entire CD;  it was written by the Australian singer Sia, King Midas of current pop music. 

The music video, directed by Melina Matsoukas, shows the suffering of a young aspiring Miss... The result is very convincing!
